My opinion:
Shrek - Pretty good, not the best ever. But, its a good kids movie.
Shrek 2 - Better than the first and pretty funny.
Shrek The Third - Egh, okay I guess.

My philosophy on the fourth movie. They suck. This movie will suck.

It's just for the cash at this point, unless they have a new cool and interesting story like the first two films I'm not even gonna glimpse this pice of crap.

Just dont have the story telling skills of Pixar who achieved the rare feat of making a sequel superior to the original. You can tell SKG is all about the money and mechandise where Pixar steadily take their time over a film. Even their weaker films (Bugs Life, Cars) is far stronger than the Shrek series which is just full of famous people and is just full of modern day references with a medievil twist...

As a film in its own right its not weak, I just mean compared to their own works.
