after all the inception babble has calmed down a list of possible directors have been released for the upcoming christopher nolan produced superman reboot.

good choice
but does superman, a character who can travel at the speed of light really need a director who slows down every scene.
My choic would be duncan jones.
When christopher nolan was chosen for batman begins he only had one great film under his belt and now duncan jones has moon and the upcoming source code.
but yes zack snyder would be a worthy coice

I want someone who can direct actors first and foremost and Zack Snyder cannot direct actors to save his life. He may have a good eye but that is it.
Duncan Jones is the one out of that list who I think could pull it off. Matt Reeves could be interesting as well. Love Tony Scott but his choice in edits and filters would in the end make Superman look like shit.
But what gets me is if they're looking at someone like Tony Scott why the hell don't they just get Ricard Donner?

Duncan Jones, although with only one film under his belt, is the best director out of those five. I would prefer he do something on his own, but he would be an interesting choice.
Of the others I'd have to go with Snyder. He will be going off of a Jonathan Nolan/Goyer script so we don't have to worry about the story lacking or not enough depth (which is one of the biggest problems in his other features) and along with that he would bring a great visual style and comic book feel. He has his flaws, like slow motion, but under Nolan and with so many eyes watching what he will produce I think he could deliver.
I trust Nolan to make the right choice.

Which is good, let Nolan, his brother and Goyer worry about the story when constructing the script, then hand it over to Snyder to give it some style and it could be a very interesting product.
