If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Pariah, only know of the movie because Leon said good things about it. I watched the movie and found it quite enjoyable. I would liked to know more about the husband and wife's relationship, but oh well.
Goodfellas, saw this movie for the first time and, after a great intro, I was worried toward the hour mark, but this was another good movie too.
Low Full Price.
Bram Stoker's Dracula from Francis Ford Coppola - HIGH MATINEE
I hate the fact that I am one of the few persons who hated The Road. :P
Well, probably the main problem for me was that I hadn't read the book. I can't say that I don't like post-apocalyptic films. I am Legend, Titan A.E. are just some examples that come to mind, and I had no problem with those. Although you can't really compare Titan A.E. with either The Road or I am Legend.
I thought the path that The Road took was too much like a zombie film. And maybe I was just not in the mood then for a film that really shows you how hope can disperse. Also I didn't like the acting so much. It felt to me like Mortensen gave it his best, but still not enough to get me attached to his character. I wish I could say more but I really don't remember that much. I only saw the film once when it came out 3 years ago.
But I admit that concerning my opinion about this film, I am in the absolute minority.
Moonrise Kingdom: What can I say? Nobody makes movies in quite the same way as Wes Anderson, and if you like his style of film making, you'll love this movie. For me, this is an easy full price, but I'd say that even those with an extreme aversion to quirk should check this one out; it has a lot of heart.
