Pyramids - Terry Pratchett - 4/5

Good Omens - Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman - 5/5
I was disappointed by Good Omens. Okay, disappointed my not be a good word as I would have given the book 3/5. I love Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaiman, but the book didn't quite have the "oomph" I was expecting; it didn't take me by surprise. It was humorous, but I didn't have any of the laugh-out-loud moments that I do with Pratchet's works. Still, the book is fun and gave me several good chuckles.
Good Omens was a fun read, really enjoyed it as you did. It actually got me to start reading Discworld.

Good Omens was a beautiful read, i like it

Changing Planes - Ursula K LeGuin -- 5/5
One of my favorite authors. Very imaginative and descriptive when it comes to different cultures and customs. It's a series of short stories based in a, well, universe, I guess, where people can shift from one plane of existence to another. For "our" plane, one must be in an airport with the right amount of stress and gastric discomfort. Each chapter describes a different plane and then a bit of a story told by a traveler to give a flavor for the plane.

The Elfish Gene - Mark Barrowcliffe (or something, I always get his name wrong)
gamers and former gamers -- 4/5
non-gamers -- 3/5
An honest memoir that will cause those of us who grew up gaming to flush with embarrassment. A humble story putting a humorous spin on the mistakes people make while growing up. Even non-gamers will be able to identify with the author.

Speciation - Jerry A. Coynne and H. Allen Orr
biologists -- 5/5
others -- huh?
A thorough examination on the theories of speciation. Probably not of interest to anyone reading this other than me. Wish the book existed when I was working on my dissertation!
I read tales from da hood, and really loved it! Nikki Turner captured the tru essence of hood life, and I tell all my friends to read it!
Aliss from Patrick Senécal - 10/10

http://www.alire.com/english/En_Romans/Aliss.html

This writer is a true master of horror. It's the first of his books i have read and it blew me away... i don't really know how to say it. Just believe the reviews... it is that great... i had high expectations and was still impressed. A dark, twisted and perverted take on Alice in wonderland. If you find this, read it.

i finished it today, the ending is brilliant, like the rest of the book, every little detail is thought out perfectly. The man know what he does when he writes and this makes me really, really excited to see his web series based on the events of the red queen between 5150 Elm Street and Aliss: "reinerouge.tv"
and of course the movie adaptation of the book that will hopefully get done in the coming years.

But be warned, this book contains explicit descriptions of sexual acts and violence. It is not for everyone... But these scenes still all serve an essential purpose in the story.
Slaughterhouse Five - Better than Sex!!!
I am Ozzy by Ozzy Osbourne 3/5

Only read it if you love the guy.

FRAY from Joss Whedon - i'd say something like 9/10

the story is great, the character designs are awesome and there are some of the panels looks gorgeous. It is nearly perfect for me. :D

Basilisk by N. M. Browne - 5/5

Currently my favorite book. I'm going to check it out again or possibly buy it. A marvelous civil war story with brilliant fantasy elements. The characters are vibrant and the plot is adventurous. It's overall a fun and exciting read. Be sure to pick it up and give it a whirl.

Holes by Louis Sachar - 3/5

Probably considered to be one of the best family books on the bookshelves, Holes is a interesting novel with tons of strange flashbacks and peculiar twists. It starts out slow, but when it picks up the pace, it's action packed. All around, it's a harmless book that a reader of almost any age can dig. My second favorite novel behind Basilisk.

The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo by Stieg Larrson

0/5 I read about 50 or so pages of this before Finally deciding to quit. It was EXCRUCIATING! Dull, slow, boring, the only reason I read as far as I did was because I felt like I should because it was so acclaimed. BOOOOOOORRRRRIIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!
