Questions for LEOG Volume 2, Issue 9: Star Trek

And now, the usual list of rules. PLEASE READ THEM BEFORE POSTING YOUR QUESTION!
-You guys keep ignoring this so I'm going to restate here: ASK JUST ONE QUESTION PER QUESTIONS POST! Those folks who like to ask tons of stuff, we look at like spamming. Think carefully before you ask. Any questions after your first one are ignored, even if they are better questions than your first one. That'll teach ya.
-Make sure we haven't already answered it or something awfully close to it. We're gradually adding a list of topics we covered in previous LEOGs on the main page so you can start using that as a guideline.
-No multiple part questions if you can avoid it.
-Please use your spell check, punctuation, etc.
-DO NOT badger us if we didn't answer your question or keep resubmitting it. That's only gonna make us want to ignore you altogether. We may choose to only answer your question in the forum OR we may have liked your question but wanted to save it for a later LEOG more focused on the subject you were addressing so don't give up hope when your question doesn't appear immediately.
-Try to keep your asking to one question per time. Please. Think through carefully what you want to ask and how you phrase it. A well worded question has a definite leg up on getting in as does one that makes us laugh.
-If you see an animated gif at the top of the page, the questions are closed, so please don't ask any more.
-Comments ON the actual LEOGS should be put on the comments for the LEOG in question itself or in Joseph's LEOG community. Thanks!

Having heard rave reviews of the current film do you think the successive TV shows after TOS truly lived up to their potential?
Personally, the only one that stamped its own identity was TNG; DS9 came off as a poor mans Babylon 5, Voyager bored me with their technobabble and Enterprise was only interesting in a handful of episodes when it explained either future or past canon that hadn't been covered in any of the shows. -

No, but I'm sure if you look hard enough on Amazon or eBay, you can find one. Hell, someone a long while back pointed me towards a model that essentially functioned as a palm pistol!
