Preacher or Sandman?- first time comick book expieriance
Hello there, comic book fans, i have a quick question for you all. The last comick book that i bought/reed was spiderman vs carnage or something like that ( it was 1997 i think and i was 10 years old).Recently isnpired buy listening to LEOG i wan't to read some really good comic book (not so into super heroes)
So my question to you is simple, should i pick up Preacher or Sandman (The LEOG guys are refering to those books as the moast importent non- super hero comics of all time) I read the first issue of Preacher online few days ago and i was fucking loving it, But i don't know for sure witch of those books will be more suitable for a guy who didn't read a "funny book" in ages.
So i'm open for youre suggestions, thanks in advance

OK, if you're considering Preacher and Sandman as the first books to use to get back into comics, consider these questions;
Do you read fantasy and classical literature for fun? Are you at least familiar with it? Are you a fan or art? Then get some "Sandman" books.

yeah i'm familiar with some Tolkien and Lem(polish sci-fi writer) but it's not really my cup of tea. I love Vonnegut and Pielewin for the pure fun of reading. If we are talking classics it's Bulhakow and Dostojewski all the way.
Right know i'm participating in an auction for 8 complete Preacher books and it's 200zlotys (about 50$) so i might get it, becouse Sandman Books are really hard to find
in my fu****g country.

I meant classics like Greek and Roman mythological literature, Beowulf, Chaucer, Arthurian lore like the French "Le Morte D'Artur" (I think that's how it's written), haha.
Seems to me you'd probably dig "Preacher" more.

If you love fantasy/Classical lit,listen to the man, and get "Sandman".If you like Westerns, Vampires, and overall badassness, get Preacher.

Sandman took me a while to get into caompared to preacher.Preacher had me hooked by the end of the first arc.
