please helme with this film title

i saw this film some time ago and can't remember what it was called

I think it was Australian and quite disturbing to some people

it is very vague - all i can remember is that in the film a mother keeps her (retarded) son indoors whilst he is growing up. she makes him think that it is not possible to go outside (although she goes outside) and that you need a gas mask on if you do go outside. In one scene, the mother is having sex with her son (he obviously doesn't know about incest). The son does eventually get out and goes on a bit of an adventure (like you would in this scenario - thinking it wasn't previously safe to leave the house.

please help - i know 1000's of people will know the film straight away
