There is a Parker film set to come out in 2013, directed by Taylor Hackford, starring Jason Statham and *sigh* Jennifer Lopez. Now if you are a fan of the Donald E. Westlake (pen name Richard Stark) novels, or the Darwyn Cooke graphic novels, or both, you have got to be just as disappointed in this casting as I am. Someone is now allowed permission to actually USE the name Parker, in a film about the character, and they cast Jason Statham, and JENNIFER LOPEZ? That is just setting up a potentially great film, to be Some Ol' Bullshit. When I first heard there was going to be a Parker film, I was very, very excited. As soon as I found out the casting, I lost all hope. Personally I think Clive Owen would have been perfect in the role of Parker. If anyone has any opinion about this monstrosity we have to look forward to in 2013, please share.
