If it's crap... We'll tell you

I didn't hate it, thought it was creepy at points, but overall I found it that it was an attempted gimic for 15 minutes and have 70 extra minutes of nothing happening to make it feature length. All the scares are far and few from between and an ending that was so predictable. Plus, knowing that these people just stayed in the house and made no attempt to leave, or lock their bedroom door, or sleep somewhere else. I felt no sense of danger. Even though I do admit the ending was pretty creepy. But overall I thought this movie is so overrated. My rating would be a MATINEE with a big crowd.

How bout you? who here thinks this movie is overrated?

I liked it. I was really surprised how much i liked it since those sort of movies never scare me. For me, it lived up to its expectations...exceeded it really.
Even in the beginning where i was rolling my eyes for the most part i enjoyed seeing the couple interact and react to each "event". By the end of was totally enthralled and yes the ending was a tab bit predicable but still awesome.

As for why they never left their house, that was something covered in the movie, since it wasnt the house that was haunted rather the girl. I had no problem getting past that. The open door thing bugged me too, but since it obviously wouldn't have a made a difference i just let it go.

Completely overrated. It was so boring and totally unscary that halfway through the film I actually found myself cheering for the demon. Neither of the characters seems to do anything a normal person would do in any given situation, and don't even seem like a good couple, let alone a couple that's been together for 3 years.

The "footprints" looked like E.T.'s feet, so I waited out the remaining minutes quoting E.T. at every available opportunity. Terrible movie. I feel genuinely sad for anyone who would be scared by anything in it. I guess some people are just more skittish than others.

The movie wasn't really scary at all. For the most part we see things move by themselves, occasional bangs (ok, they made me jump a little but those are cheap scares)

And I watched it on my computer, late at night, alone and with the lights off. That is pretty much the best atmosphere for watching a horror film. It still didn't bother me...so watching it in a theater with a load of people around me would make it even less scary.
