Paranormal Activity

Ok lets get this out of the way. The story in this film is complete Bullshit!!!. So all those people who say "Oh My God Its Real" all because there was a thank you to the police department for sending out the tapes. Having said that that is one of the reasons why Paranormal Activity has done so well for its self. If the film looks and seams real it will frighten those who do and don't believe in this sort of thing.

Here we have Mika and Katie (which are also the real names of the Actors) who are a couple who live in a populated neighborhood and are being "haunted" by unkown spirit. Katie has experienced this her whole life and has now involved her boyfriend Mika. Now he does not believe in this so he gets a video camera to kinda prove to her that nothing is really going on. He puts the camera in the bed so that while they are sleeping they will have everything recorded. Sure enough strange things begin to happen.

Now this Film has the unfortunate problem of the Overhyping factor. Where a group will see it and tell everyone to go see it and they do they come out disapointed. Which is why i made sure I saw it ASAP and I didnt find myself to be disapointed with it (well at least the scary parts) which there are. During the time which they are not filming in the bedroom there is a whole lost of nothing going on, and it doesn't help the story nor the characters it more shows what a Pussy Mika is and what a Bitch katie was.

The reason I believe that this film has done so well with the scare factor is that evreyone can kinda relate to what they are going through in the sense that everyone has herd strange noises during the night and you shrug your shoulders and say "probably just the wind" NOW!! after seeing this you are going to think Twice about the noise you hear while to try to sleep.

This was a good movie except the scenes where there is a whole lot of nothing happening and unfortunetley there is alot of that, but for the scary part I think it worth seeing (only in a theatre where you dont have the option to pause or turn down the volume, Should be seen in a theatre)
