well thats still pretty good for a march release

I'm just hoping that it makes it's money back to provoke 'Warner' into making 'Terminator: Salvation' rated R.

How does that make ANY fucking sense at all?

Reply to This

It makes loads of sense. If Watchmen makes a lot of money Warner will be less inclined to believe that the R rating is a bad thing for Box Office success. Warner might decide to produce more adult Sci-Fi, comic book and blockbuster films. But only if it proves to be monetarily viable, which Watchmen could prove it to be.

PG-13 will always make more money than an R movie.

well at least a good movie that did some decent business beat the hell of some really shitty movies that have been cranking out of the month of February.

hey it comes to show that not everything is a certain win. Now if you excuse me, I have to go freeze myself until Resident Evil 5 comes out ;) .

I find it amazing that most of us will never see 56 million in our lifetime, yet people in the movies talk about it as if its chump change.

When you throw 150 million at a director and end up paying legal fees from a bitter court case, it is.

Yes, but they can claim for insurance. Every film, has insurance encase a certain film bombs at the box-office. It's all business really, nobody gives a shit about what people want, I guess that's why they are remaking Death at a Funeral with Chris Rock.

So now i completely understand that movie the producers..never knew that movies got money for bombing..lol

It's the sad truth, but the producers don't get the money, the company does, such as Warners, and Paramount. They always get there money back.

So true. You can see the buisness men bitching about the amount the movie made.
