I was wondering when this topic would be started. Personally I think he hasn't earned it (perhaps he will). I mean he got nominated for the award only 2 weeks into his first term as president. Honestly he still at this point hasn't had enough time as president to actually make much of a difference (good or bad), especially on a global scale. If this was his 3rd or 4th year of his presidency, it would be a lot easier to understand.
With that said, I must assure everyone that my disappointment isn't with Obama himself. He didn't nominate himself, nor did he ask for this award. I blame the committee that nominated, then awarded it to him. I get a feeling that this award was a way for many (globally) to express how much they really disliked George W. Bush. But again, please don't direct anger over the issue at Obama himself, he did nothing wrong here.

When asked on the news regarding the nomination, you know what Brian Williams said? "He won cause he isn't George W. Bush." Or something like that. I don't remember too well.
That said, on the page, it said for his "efforts." So, even though he didn't get much done in such a short time, I'm guessing he got the award for "trying."

Lol. Maybe the award is part of some scheme to guilt Obama into doing something big to prove that he does deserve it. I personally think Q is behind all of this.
