I'm not down with scott being in FF especially as o'grady is been minimilized to a team with pym on it.
And none of the other series really intrest me as fractions off ironman

But that doesn't change the fact his death was kinda chepean by lack of use in the story and the writer missing the point of who eric is as a "hero"

Imagine if someone killed your favorite comedic character in a serious "heroix" way after not using them to their comedic potential in 2 years then replacing them with an evil robot!

I just hope they do it well, I liked antman but over the years he has done nothing, He was a terrible Thunderbolt because he was the wimp or not hardened killer who faked his way in but also he never did much with the avengers either, he's just a guy who I never took serious as a charcter because there was no reason to take him seriously

I disagree that there's no reason not to take him serious character and feel like this is where his series getting cancelled really hurt him as he's been shoved from book to book. He's a comedic character in that he will go peak on a female character in a shower, or use his status as an avenger to get into a girls pants(Ant-man and Wasp mini). But, the seriousness comes in when his girlfriend finds out he's sleeping around on her or he has to deal with a situation where his lies won't get him out of it. He's a guy who's hurting internally but no writer beside Kirkman, Gage(The initiative), Seely(ant-man and wasp) have shown without losing that comedic edge he has. Eric to me is what Ditko did with Squrriel girl, where she was in a age of progressively 'darker and edgier' heroes is a bright spot of comedy and sliver age humor. Eric is a dark and almost repulsive character (he makes out his dead best friend's girlfriend ON TOP OF HIS BEST FRIEND'S GRAVE!). It's all counteracted by the dark and twisted humor he brings to the situation like when he knocks out Cassie Lang and says "who's your daddy!" not knowing she is (the then still dead) Scott's daughter.

Not to mention the fact that if you've read everything Eric's been in from his comic to The initiative, to thunderblots even (where his role made some what sense) and finally ant-man and wasp  you see he was being built to be something interesting of a hero that was unlike any other and fits well in the ant-man role.

Making him some haunted soul (as I know that's what's most likely going to happen) over now being a cyborg, is like doing that to superman *pulls up cyborg superman* remember how that worked out?
