I'm trying to find a (bad) movie that I watched a long long long time ago.  The only scene I can remember is at the very beginning...

A car is driving up a narrow canyon road, following behind a truck that is carrying logs.  I'm not 100% sure, but I think there were two people in the car, husband driving and wife in passenger seat.  One of the logs slides out the back of the truck and through the windshield of the car, smashing the face of the driver.  The woman screams and the car then goes over the edge of the road and bursts into flames.

Now, I know this sounds a little like one of the "Final Destination" movies, but I saw this about 10 years before the first "FD" movie.  It's low budget, mid-80's (or possibly late 70's?), and may have been a horror/supernatural film, although it may have just been a horribly gory accident within a thriller-type movie.

They went off a bridge in "Beetlejuice".  There was a definate 'log-though-windshield-face-pulping' in the movie I'm after.

not the french film "Carnage" then?

I just looked up all movies called "Carnage" on IMDB and none of them ring any bells.  Plus, if it's the one I think you mean, it's too new to be the one.

Was this a European film? I seem to recall one, I think it was German, that had a scene tike that. Was there a sort of ghost train in the movei?

Pretty sure it was a cheap US movie.  I do not remember anything about a ghost train at all.  What's the name of the movie you're tinking of?

I think it was called Behind the Door 2 or something like that.

"Beyond the Door 3", aka "Amok Train"?  I've actually seen that as well.  Definately not the one I'm thinking of.

(I actually fell asleep about an hour into "BtD3"...  I may have to find a copy of that to see what I missed...  but I'm still positive it's not the one.)

Nekromantik?

Definately not.  I know I haven't seen this.

Hmm.. Maximum Overdrive?

Again, no.  I've seen that a half dozen times with friends, definately not.  I've seen the one I'm looking for just once.

A cheap supernatural US film in the 70's........ Since I wasn't born in the 70's, it's gonna be difficult remembering this movie.
