5- L.A. Noire

You know, if it weren't for this delightfully exquisite soundtrack, I wouldn't have given as much of a sh*t for this game, despite the fact that I am a really in depth fan for the genre of Noire. So you get this great production of music, mixed with a good amount of Classical Hollywood-like scores and Jazz music which is quite lovely. The game revolves around the up and coming hybrid genre of Bebop and it plays well with that too. Just great all around. It was hard to find a track I didn't like in this one.

4- Dante's Inferno

Say what you will about the game, but Garry Schyman's depiction of Hell is one mesmerizing ordeal. This game really knows how to set the atmosphere. Aside from gameplay, the boys at the sound department don't falter either, as they evoke such ambience in sound of crippling-meat-of-the-bone effects such as the screams of tormented souls. It really takes you in a beautifully crafted Hell.

 I highly recommend this one!'

3- Halo 2

The Halo series has been well known for boasting a premium blockbuster-like soundtrack, but there's obviously more to it. Halo 2's OST left me with mixed emotions and good ones at that. Cliche it is? Yes, but the first 6 minutes of this track alone have got to be the best pieces of VG music I've ever heard- reminiscent of Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, and it's an amazing one at that. Never had I been so immersed on gameplay and story due to its wonderful music.

2- Klonoa 2

The first game I ever got to choose when I was a kid and damn did I choose a good one. It's not because of a nostalgia factor that I chose this one, it's because looking back- for a kids game- it was a superb action/adventure platformer with an amazing soundtrack. When it's calm, it's incredibly relaxing, but when sh*t hits the fan, the music gets riled up and really gives a great amount of intensity with good use of real instruments. A real treat for the any-gamer.

1- Machinarium

Such a superb soundtrack in which altogether leaves an impression even after you leave the game. Who knew a point and click adventure could be so engrossing. I adore almost every track on here, but it more so depends on preference and taste in music. I for one am really content with what this soundtrack had to offer.

Well, those are the ones I could think through the top of my head without being unoriginal.
