Yes, well I was very serious...

I agree.
Sounds good but sadly its a little dull. Maybe what you describe is just like the first 30 minutes of the film and the rest of the movie involves his involvement with the Hellhouse or something a long those lines.
I agree. It does sound more like the intro. Here's something to add to the movie and my idea for the rest of the film.

The nuclear reactor causes Deadpool to develop a tumour that prevents his body from repairing itself back to what it was before he was mutilated for Weapon XI (but he has a mouth now). Deadpool briefly die near the beginning. He meets Death (a beautiful woman):

and they fall in love with each other (just like in the comics). Deadpool then tries to get himself killed by the prison's security and the other prisoners. Thanos (Death's husband):

gets jealous that his wife fell in love with Deadpool. So he curses Deadpool with life (happens in the comic). Meaning Deadpool can never enter the afterlife. So we do get to the part with Weasel and the prison escape. After the two escape Deadpool wants to get revenge on the people responsible for his mutilation, mind-control and imprisonment.

Deadpool then learns of the true backers behind Stryker, Project WIDEAWAKE and the mutant prison. The true nemesis of this film: HYDRA led by Baron Strucker.

Their purpose was to use the captured mutants to create a super soldier army to take over the world. Deadpool was just the first prototype of this super soldier program. While Weasel and Deadpool don't really give a damn who controls the world, they both care very much in making the HYDRA group suffer for their imprisonment and experiments.

After too much recon, Deadpool is marked for death by Baron Strucker. He is ambushed by HYDRA agents, but was able to kill them all except one member, named Bob (also in comic),

to who they use to find the HYDRA base. When they get there Deadpool, Weasel and Bob find the labs HYDRA is using to create the next generation of super soldiers. Also they find out the second half of the plan which includes launching nukes at every military center in the world to cripple all countries and to prevent retaliation. Bob suggest to the two that they just don't have enough time to stop this all and their best bet is to just find shelter and wait till the bombs drop. Deadpool refuses to hide and maybe add a breaking fourth wall line here like:

"If we hide we'll be stuck in a world full of bland assholes who'll just say 'Hail HYDRA' day after day. Also that wouldn't make a good ending to this movie."

"What?"

"Nothing!"

Thanks to Weasel's computer skills, they shut down all of the soldiers killing them before they could reactivate. Weasel then activates the base's emergency self destruct. This leads to a final confrontation between Deadpool and Baron. After a sweet fight, Deadpool, Weasel and their new partner Bob escape the base. On the helicopter, Deadpool decides to use his abilities to fight the baddies purely because it's more fun.
With the whole Death thing you escape the realm of realism. The previous X-men movies have never really dealt with anything like Apocalypse because as soon as you do that the movie becomes too much of a fantasy and hard to relate too. The X-men movies deal with things that are explained so they could happen in real life. Try to take this Death and Thanos thing and make it sound realistic. (this is one of the examples why somethings work in comics and not movies) I'd rather use Siryn for Deadpool's love interest.

Also the whole Bob and Hydra thing would be great for a sequel but trying to fit all of that into a hour and a half movie (FOX's rule that no movies should be over and hour and half long) is too much. One of the reasons Wolverine origins didn't work as well was because they tried to fit to much into one movie. I'd save the Hydra thing for a sequel.

Escaping prison = 1st movie
Hydra plot = sequel
if D'Pool was more famous, then, yeah, i'd like to see a film
but it'll most likely be a animated feature maybe dvd
If he was more famous? Where have you been?

The guy's a freak'n icon.
I have a feeling he'd pop up in a sequel to the Wolverine movie, provided Fox makes Magneto and X-Men First Class within the next two years and option the Wolvie 2 movie. If they don't make a new X-Film by 2010, Marvel has the rights to X-Men back. And consequently, all related characters fall into that, including Deadpool.

But knowing Fox, I'd say remain skeptical about them. They'll make more X-Movies, which makes me a sad panda. They'd make Deadpool depressingly bad if they had the idea of that movie.
Could work but seems to run a little long
Most prison movies do, I think this could fit into the hour and a half time line (That FOX so clearly loves) but I'd prefer it to be more like 2 hours long, to go into more detail with things and develop alot of important things like Deadpool's relationship with Ajax and Weasel.
I'm only 17, but I do plan on becoming a director in the future. However I don't think it's enough time to catch up to FOX's plan on having this sucker come out in 2011 or whatever.
