The Gambler of Fate. posted a statusBut when I printed the screener tickets in the office and my coworkers asked me what movie I was seeing, they all looked at me confused when I told them "the remake of Red Dawn" then I went on to describe the overall plot of the original and still got the look of confusion.
THEN at the screener when I was standing in line, a couple of folks standing in a different screener line who were around my age asked me "what's red dawn" again I said it was a remake of the mid 80s flick starring Dempsey about Russians and Cubans invading American and AGAIN I got the look of confusion and the response of "never heard of it"
so apparently for the last 2 decades I've been lying to myself thinking everyone around my age had seen the flick but in reality only my group of friends had seen it.
I'm so the hipster and I didn't even know it!

Permalink Reply by Dr. Rufus on November 15, 2012 at 6:43pm I fully realized that I had a different film education from the vast majority of my generation (I'm 21 years old) in my freshman year of high school. My friend was trying to remember who played Doctor Dolittle, and I instantly told him Rex Harrison, not even realizing that he obviously meant Eddie Murphy. The whole group I was with just looked at me like I was an idiot.
