Thanks to Star Wars, the word prequel tends to leave a bad taste in people's mouths. But what movies or movie franchises do you feel deserve to have prequels? If a similar discussion already exists, please tell me.
I always wanted to see a prequel to Bram Stoker's Dracula, with Gary Oldman reprising his role as Vlad Tepes before he became a vampire.
What's funny is that The Animatrix is much better than the two Matrix sequels. This part in particular always creeps the shit out of me. Especially, when the humans got their asses kicked and were dissected.
I wouldn't mind seeing a prequel to The Incredibles. It could explore more of Mr. Incredible's adventures and other things.
That's the only thing I would really want to see.
I remember LEOG talking about Cars prequel comics/manga, and I think that would be interesting. The whole "Rise of Lightning McQueen" and "Fall of Radiator Springs" would be fun to watch.
Generally speaking, I don't think there are any movies that "deserve" a prequel, but there are always exceptions.
I can't really say that it should be made, but I'd like to see William Munny pre-Unforgiven. When he was young, drunk, a killer, and met his wife. Yeah, it does kind of miss the point of Unforgiven, but it would be cool to see.
from what I remember of the series, only hearing about it and not actually seeing it, it was about how Indy and his friends (I think he had a girlfriend in the series, I don't know) and how he became the archeologist and adventurer we know and love. kind of like a continuation of the beginning of Last Crusade.
don't quote me on that. like I said, I've never even SEEN the series. it's out on DVD in a box set.
