If it's crap ... We'll tell you

Boardwalking Empire of the Dead posted a statusOne thing I love about movies or even television shows are those scenes that make you cheer or at least make you want to. For me, it's when Schultz shoots Candie in Django Unchained.
I read a comment somewhere that said Candie went out like Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, but I don't care. Candie is such a repulsive son of a bitch that when an understandably angry Schultz forfeits him, Django and Broomhilda safely making it out of Candyland to shoot and kill Calvin with his hidden pistol, I actually clapped and said, "Good,". Sure, everyone would have been better off if Schultz just humored Candie and shook his hand, but the douche-bag needed to go after putting our heroes and the audience though such hell.
Well, that's mine. What are yours?

Permalink Reply by Santos on December 31, 2012 at 8:30pm I wasn't a fan of The Hurt Locker so I'm not certain I want to see that movie.

Permalink Reply by Santos on December 31, 2012 at 8:32pm A close second for me is The Hulk smacking around Loki in The Avengers.
Santos, I agree with the Hulk/Loki scene. It just happened so fast and the whole theater started laughing their butts off. Besides that, one of my most satisfying moments is in the DVD of The Dark Knight Returns when Peter Weller's voice utters (paraphrasing) "You don't understand, son. This isn't a mud pit. This is an operating table. And I'm the surgeon" just before he beats the leader of the Mutants. It's such a fanboy thing but I sat there staring at the television thinking the only thing that could make the moment better was me eating a Strawberry Redvine at the same time.

I know I have one, but I can't think of something so I'll have to re-post later.
Permalink Reply by LunaticLMD on January 2, 2013 at 5:47am Ah I thought of some, but they're from tv (I'm more of a tv enthusiast than movie buff, though I'm learning!).
1. Tyrion's speech before the invasion of King's Landing in Game of Thrones season two.
2. Walter/Jesse/Mike interrogating Lydia in "Dead Freight" in Breaking Bad season five.
3. Richard Harrow going Punisher on Rosetti's men in the season finale of Boardwalk Empire.
4. Carrie escaping the terrorist in the season premiere of Homeland. I was so into the Lebanon story and when she kneed the guy and escaped, the look of euphoria on her face, I was so happy for her.
5. Saul telling Carrie off in the season finale of Homeland. I think everyone was clapping or nodding approvingly when he said she was the smartest/dumbest fucking person he's ever known and she doesn't know a god damn thing.
Sorry, I couldn't pick just one.
