Most pointless / ill thought out remakes

I guess I would say Psycho (1998). I always saw the point of a remake as a re-imagining and new take on a classic story, and to simply do a shot for shot version of a classic movie seemed redundant, a waste of time, and kind of insulting.

Psycho from 1998....seriously....it was almost 100% exactly the same as the original but with different actors.

Friday the 13th (2009), which brings nothing new or different to the table. Characters are cliche, deaths are cliche, yawn.
