Most pointless / ill thought out remakes
Title says it all really, which remake most misses the point in your opinion?
I'm going for:
The Stepford Wives (2004)
Planet of the Apes (2001)
Get Carter (2000)
If you can think of any worse than these, I'll be very impressed.

I guess I would say Psycho (1998). I always saw the point of a remake as a re-imagining and new take on a classic story, and to simply do a shot for shot version of a classic movie seemed redundant, a waste of time, and kind of insulting.

Friday the 13th (2009), which brings nothing new or different to the table. Characters are cliche, deaths are cliche, yawn.
