It's been an eclectic summer to say the least. Tentpole films reached the pinaccle of excessive stupidity with Transformers 2, destroying box-office records while an action-packed masterpiece like The Hurt Locker struggled to break $10 million over the course of several months. Animated films proved themselves to be more mature in their content and execution than their live-action equivalents, and (SPOILER!) Eli Roth shot Hitler in the face. (SPOILER END!)

But those days are over. Toronto starts this weekend, and the time has come for all those movies that justify the existence of the summer blockbusters. It's time to see where all that Transformers and G.I. Joe money went.

So now that the time is here, what are you most looking forward to?

Honorable mention to Shutter Island, which I disqualified because it got pushed back to next year.

I'm probably looking foreward to Princess and the Frog the most. However I am actually intrested in Where the Wild things are, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Avatar, The Road and Sherlock Holmes. So that is what I am looking foreward to.
Imaginarium of friggin' Dr. Parnassus!!!
New Moon
Wolfman i really want to see that one
I liked the look of shutter island but i hink they dont know how to sell it that's why they pushed it back
the avatar is looking good that another one i wanna see
the imaginarium of dr parnus or niss is very visuallly pleasing to the imagination might be worth a check
and the lovely bones thats a tear jerker
yeah i want to see all these thats my top for nown
I'm really excited to see James Camerons Avatar and Pirate Radio.
I feel like I've been waiting an age for Fantastic Mr Fox, I guess that's the same marketing ploy that's been pulling the kiddy-memory-heartstrings as Where the Wild Things are. Looks pretty cool, I'm liking the trend for not making saccharine sweet kid's movies. Buh-bye Disney

From what I read, Shutter Island is going to be released February 19, 2010.

I'm looking pretty forward to The Princess and the Frog and Sherlock Holmes.
There's three movies that i can't wait to see-
1. The Lovely Bones:
The trailer for this is awesome

2. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus:
Heath Ledger's last film

3. The Fantastic Mr. Fox:
Big Wes Anderson fan
