Anyone else out there playing this regularly? Looking to find a group that plays multiplayer on this game on a fairly consistent basis if possible.

I have it but I haven't played it in a few days.

Why would anyone want to play a dumbed down port of an already bad game?

I understand your point but PC gaming is a waste of time to me. I need to be doing like 4 things at once, easier to play this on the 360. besides the updates are coming.

Funny, I consider console gaming to be the same. You cannot upgrade them, they are limited in use and can pretty much only do one thing at a time.

Yet on my PC, I can game, watch videos, do some work and even Skype all at once...and games on PCs are near-lightyears beyond console systems. Gods, L.A Noire looked crappy on a console compared to its PC version.

And to answer, I do play Minecraft but only on a PC. The XBox version os still very limited...and a bit too easy. I don't think you can even mod it yet (I got one that allows for the construction of non-tracked vehicles and motion...somI was able to make a land rover. I might even be able to make a plane soon).

This. While I'm primarily a console gamer myself for convenience/tradition, anyone who thinks console gaming is actually superior in any way should just stop playing games.

That being said: Minecraft, in my experience, is pointless to play without mods. Even then, with graphical and gameplay fixes, it's not very fun after you realize that all there really is to do is stack blocks. You can mod it all you want, but with the lack of features Minecraft presents, it's only really good for dicking around with your friends. (and I can think of WAY more entertaining games to do this in.) Nothing more.

The Xbox version has even LESS features than the PC one, no modding capability, and a maximum map size of 1000x1000. Why the fuck would anyone want to play a WORSE version of an already bad game? It blows my mind that the XBox version sold so much...

I recommend Terraria instead if you want a sandbox mining game. At least that game has actual combat/a purpose to be exploring, digging, and building. It's also a hell of a lot cheaper.

Again, as if this wasn't clear in my last post, if you actually need someone to explain WHY Minecraft is a bad game, then watch the video in my last post.

Speaking of Minecraft, autism, money and fat people.

Look at all dat swag.

The appeal for me is creation. The ability to take an infinite 3D world and do with it what I will is the part I like. i would love to share and explore with others as well.

I looked at Terraria and while it seems to have the better version, the 2D stule cuts a lot of the fun out for me. I want the feel that the objects I make are real..to move around them.2D gives you left and right only...not true movement.
You need to tell that to the Loading Bar crew. i believe Jason and Jeff have gone on the record as saying PC gaming is dead.

It's even more laughable when people take their podcasts seriously.

or you for that matter.
