Okay, yes... I know that this is going to be a really stupid question to some of you out there. But lately some friends and I have kind of been on an 80's TV-show marathon on Netflix and we kind of got into a somewhat heated debate.

Which "Opening Theme" is better? The Miami Vice theme, or the Airwolf theme?

Airwolf, I love this theme.

I'd have to go with Airwolf too, I get more of a warm, fuzzy nostalgic feeling every time I hear it.

Miami Vice!

I gotta go with Miami Vice. Mostly because I just don't really like "horn sections" that much, which is what detracts the appeal of Airwolf's theme.

Jan Hammer all the way!!!!

My mother watched Miami Vice all the time and that theme played all the time in my home growing up but, in terms of quality, Airwolf takes the cake between the two.

However, the best theme from any show from the 80's has to be Inspector Gadget.

Airwolf. Just like the show, it may not be as cool, but it's a lot more fun than Miami Vice.

Airwolf all the way, Vice is rather bland when played next to it.

Airwolf

This is a weird one. he Miami Vice is is by far more recognizable, almost a part of the show itself. It conveys the feel and style of the time, and most people know it even now....even if they don't remember why.

But the Airwolf theme....simple, very 80's...and somehow just gets you a bit pumped for it. The show is just insane, silly...and fun. So ok, I'll go with Airwolf, if only it does not remind me of pastel polo shirts.
