Martin Scorsese is a racist. Why do we put up with it?

Why do people put up with Martin Scorsese's racism? In every film he's ever made he displays racist characters that put down every race but italian. Why? Why aren't more people up in arms about this?

Martin's character in Taxi Driver was suppose to be played by someone else but they couldn't make it so he played the part.

1. Martin Scoresse is not a racist!
2. Characters in his movie are just like people in real life are (especially if they are Italian characters. They are the most racist people in the world!)

Friendships were ok. I've had friends and family members who'd give you the shirt off there back, unless you were Gay.

I can't explain it, but I know it exists. The Jungian thing, Duality of man, maybe?
