well i can see them keeping the backstories, costumes, (except the ones that reak of cheese) sound affects, and the fighting scenes the same but the story, dialoge, and character development would desperatly need a more serious approach, because i use to watch dragonball Z and its meant for kids, if you want to expand too a wider audence and actually make a francise you will need someone like christopher nolan to direct it, and have the fight choreographer from the matrix series.
