If it's crap... We'll tell you

Man,if only these two guys had a big budget:

This proves that it can be done, but im not sure if it ever will be done.
What do you guys think, will anyone ever try a dbz movie again?
If they take it seriously, and don't treat it like a kids film,it could be good.

Even if you change the costumes, they action and the aspects of Naruto's universe would just look silly on screen unless they turn it into a all-out kung-fu movie.

Now you're just spamming.

Lol, Naruto live-action. And is it just me, or does "Terminator Series T-800" only post in pictures?
Lol..... First thing that comes to mind.
No matter how I throw different ideas together, they just seem to fall apart. I rather thought the end fight between Neo and Smith was rather like a DBZ fight, but also disliked it, for just that reason, it looked silly near the end. And that's where DBZ always lands, it's silly. The humor is silly, the stories are silly, the characters go out of their way to be silly, the only thing that's supposed to be taken serious is the fighting, and scenarios, which while deadly, looks silly... Never would this work... Never... Never........ Wait, I've seen that.

Perhaps if you completely forget the idea that Goku is going to be a super cool bad ass, and treat him more like the Tick, this may work as a comedy. Especially to a north American audience, because when you distill Goku's origin story, it's alot like Superman's, only Goku is slow in the head. A parody anti-Superman like hero movie might be fun if treated right.

That could work.Dragon ball actually started out as a comedy. And even in dbz, they had plenty of sillyness.
But how about this? What if It was cgi animated?
That way,it would be seperate from the regular animated dragon ball, but you can still suspend your disbelif since it's still a cartoon.

Was thinking that too, but some just absolutely have to have it in RL.

yeah. But It could work one day,if the get a good director.
What did you think of the video btw?

Again, the fighting was cool, but as soon as they lit on fire, well, they just took themselves way to serious up to that point, for it not to come off B-grade. Maybe if they found a more subtle way to depict the power. It's a completely different media format, trying to duplicate the same effect as the cartoon was a mistake. Maybe a effect more like their skin is glowing or something. A ripple effect with a hint of light would go over better, than a brilliant blue lightning ball.

Or at least I assume,I didn't see it.Is evolution as bad as everyne says?
