Dragonball Z barely works as an Anime, why make it a movie? Dragonball Z is the low point of the Dragonball series, and can never be considered a good story. It was just fun when we were little, that's it.

The studio has nothing to do with the quality. What they need is a good script, good director, and good actors. And they need to set it in Japan as well, but they won't.

But it would alter the entire story. The setting is a big part of Death Note. But Hollywood won't allow an Asian actor to be in the lead role, so they will make it set in America.

Well I wouldn't know.I haven't watched death note in a while.
One day there will be a good live action anime adapted movie.
But if death note isn't it,then it will be a while.
I guess we have to wait until an anime fan becomes a director.
Oh btw,have you heard that stevan speilberg will be working on the ghost in the shell movie? Im not sure if it's true or not,but If anyone can do a good movie,it's him.

Here's how the American Death Note movie will work: set in New York, Zac Efron as Light, Ashley Tisdale as Misa Amane, and rated PG-13.
