I hate this too, but I wish i could say I'm surprised, but I'm not. Although True Grit was rated PG-13, many people looking at the trailer, wouldn't guess it so they would probably stay away, and go with a family-oriented comedy. Hey, it sucks, but that's just how the world works.

True Grit still did great at the box office. It made 25 million versus Little Fockers' 35 million. True Grit had the best opening week for a Western in a long time while Little Fockers was way down from its previous installment. While I still cringe seeing Little Fockers taking in that much money, at least people went out to see True Grit.

There's a bright side to this, people: Little Fockers' success won't last long, once negative word of mouth spreads around. I mean look what happened in 2003 with Hulk. Viewers hated the movie so much, that it crashed and burned after the opening weekend. True Grit will continue to make money because people who have gone to see it have said it's a very good movie. Little Fockers will (knock on wood) sputter and die like a Texas fire of twigs and buffalo chips.
