If it's crap... We'll tell you

Ok... so I've just spent the last couple days playing L4D 2 and I'm here to share my view on the game.

When first starting I noticed the controls were a bit smoother than the former game and the environment more detailed than before (though the first time through I found it hard to navigate since it isn't a straight shot to the end). You also no longer have to reload when grabbing ammo to max it out which is a nice little upgrade. The increase of weapons and aids are also a plus and each one seems to stand well on their own merit.

The Spitter, Jokey, and Charger fit the special zombie niche well and I can say that the Choker is no longer the most annoying special being shadowed by the Jokey who latches on you and can steer you off buildings or into deep rivers. The tank is a bit weaker from the last game and the witch is still annoying as hell.

I've only played in single player mode but from what I can discern this will become a must-buy for anyone who has x-box live or spends time with their friends 24/7. However if you purchase this game for solo play only then don't waste your time. The AI of your allies are even dumber than last game where they will walk in fire, spit, and they don't even attempt to avoid walking into witches. If you are pinned from a special zombie they are slow to react. They are also unable to pick up more than one bandage kit in a section even if they have a free inventory slot for it.

TL;DR
Solo play bad. Online play good.

Meh, I played the demo, and I own the first one. I'm ashamed to say this, but I'd take Nazi Zombies over either any day.

I have played the demo, and i like what i see. The new weapons are nice, but having to drop my pistol for a melee weapon? I'm the "stand off and shoot them at long range" kind of guy. The new special infected are intresting, but they seem alittle weak and should be used more in teamwork attacks than ever before. The charger is rather wimpy, and has to come at the surviors from a longer distance, all the while getting filled full of holes at greater range. The jockey is ok, but you have to be sneaky and work in conjunction with the other infected players to get max advantage. He does'nt seem that fast on the approach, so sly tactics are needed. The acid spitter is intresting, she is good for rooting out survivors holed up in corners or small rooms. One spit in an enclosed area, and the humans have to scatter or get burned. The problems that were in the original game are still there...the smoker's "smoke" does no damage that i can see, and bots STILL do not pick up and use throwable weapons! The new items are my favorite, paddles to bring back dead players and boomer bile to toss (on tanks it works great!). The witch has been changed to "walk" around...but now i believe it is easier to avoid her. In the last game she at least was planted in one spot to hinder the players (speed bump).
