So I went to watch the Captain America Movie on Friday, and sure enough there were quite some children there. I watched the movie and enjoyed it quite thoroughly and waited patiently for the credits to end to see the avengers trailer. After that, some guy said, "Better not bring the kids to that one!", and the person who was sitting next to me siad, "Yeah, should've left them at home in the first place!". Now, while I tend to not like it when parents bring their kids to movies that obviously kids should not see, e.g. Watchmen; I couldn't see why they should't be at a comic book movie like Captain America. Not only is the movie perfect for them, but they didn't even bother me one bit during the movie. They kept quiet and didn't cause a disturbance.

Anyway, what do you think? Should kids not be taken to comic book movies because the generation that grew up with them are older and feel it is a special privilege to them only, or because they tend to be loud and obnoxious? Or, is it fair game because these types of movies(though not all) tend to market toward the children?

Im sorry but this is a good one time joke, no need for a series.
I don't mind kids at all. A movie like Captain America needs to be seen by kids in my opinion. Not many decent action flicks out there that kids can wacth and get a good story, action, and actually learn how to treat your flag and your fellow man.Parents should be able to take their kids to a movie and have peace of mind, while enjoying the heck out of it.Now I am a bit of a fanboy, and the only thing that really irks me is when you've been waiting 2 years to see a movie and somebody brings a baby in the theater.Kids can be told to be quiet, and lenient parents can be told to KEEP their kids quiet. But with a baby all bets are off.   Action movies by nature have fights, explosions, gun fire, and people dying in SDDS DIGITAL SURROUND SOUND.....Sometimes even I get freaked out.....To the incosiderate people who didn't think to get a babysitter and think a childs wailing will pass before the best scene in the flim is over, you are the people who shouldn't go to comic book movies.
I agree completely with that baby notion. I mean, half of the time, the movie itself is louder than the baby, but it's still a distraction.

Right on C.M. I don't mind so much when the world is ending or 7 body buiding commandos mow down a rainforest in a line up with chainguns and grenade launchers until the ammo runs dry. But it's the quiet moments when major plot points are being revealed or someone finally says the one important line you've been intently waiting to hear.....How's this for a dramatic example                     " Luke I am your WWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!"  " No,no that's impossiWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!       " Search your feelings, you know it is WWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

I often wonder though, where was Dutch's team hiding all that ammo? They killed about 45 bad guys,100 trees,17 monkeys,2 jaguars,7 termite mounds,2 tribal families, 1 discovery channel anthropologist, and the 1 flower that could cure cancer...................................And have enough left over to still shoot at the predator and afford to repeatedly miss.(i'm just sayin)

Well I had the same probelm when I saw Captain America, but I understand why they bring them I mean daycare is to much money and their is too many sexually predators to leave their children at home
