If it's crap... We'll tell you

Seriously, Two and a Half Men is NOT a good show. It's a half-assed excuse for Charlie Sheen to get paychecks for playing himself, with every tired sitcom trope imaginable thrown in without any sense of wit to help distinguish itself from any other show aired in the past 40 years with a laugh track. Just read the premise: a sleazy womanizer (cliche #1) who bangs a new chick every night (cliche #2) is forced to live with his neurotic brother/relative (cliches #5 and 6, respectively) in a loft that looks way too fancy for either of them to realistically afford (unless they're just filming it in Sheen's house- anyway, cliche #9) while being forced to take care of an adorable (well, they'd like you to think so) kid (cliche #17) and suffering visits from their parents (cliche #25) all to the accompaniment of a canned laugh track from a time when networks assumed we were too stupid to figure out what was funny for ourselves.

Jon Cryer's character, by the way? It's basically the same thing he's been doing for over 20 years now in an elaborate effort to make us forget that Superman IV ever happened (news flash Jon- it's not working). In fact, do you know why Two and a Half Men got nominated for outstanding Comedy Series 3 years previously, but not this year? Well that's easy- it's a placeholder. It's only gotten nominated due to a lack of of other comedy series that were actually deserving of nomination. This year, they actually found enough good comedy series that they didn't need a placeholder.

Honestly, every other performance that was nominated in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series was FAR more deserving than Jon Cryer. We had Neil Patrick Harris (by the way, good job making some jabs at the guy AND ruining his attempts to make us forget about Superman IV once and for all), Tracy Morgan, Jack McBrayer, and Rainn Wilson, all of whom gave outstanding performances that truly defined great comedy. Hell, that guy from Entourage deserved to win more than Jon Cryer, and Season 5 sucked!

Honestly, either the voting was rigged or a lot of voters got stoned at juuuust the wrong time. Honestly, Emmy voters, we know we can expect better than THAT from you!

Kevin Dillon or Neil Patrick Harris should've won...
