James Cameron Avatar - New Pictures
I think these pictures give a better idea of how the film will look than the youtube videos everyone has seen (even the hd ones), personally I think the film looks great but can see whare people are coming from when they say it looks a little fake, im not 100% sure about this film but why should I, its not even out yet and I haven't seen the 15 minute preview, for those who have or have an interesting opinion on the film please vent it here, please no "it looks like a fuckin xbox game"

Fair enough I just thought that statement was a bit ridiculous as the film is way ahead of gaming technically, even the art design is way ahead of games right now as most modern games colour palettes don't come close to this film. Also it's hard for a film to be over rated when it isn't even out yet.

The reason I say over-rated cause there is too much hype being made over this film already, the film for sure isn't out yet but I feel like we have been talking about it for years, the trailer didn't live up to the hype and before you say "watch it in HD" I have and it still looks meh.

Yes way ahead of video games, space marines and aliens...never seen that before, in Halo, Gears of War, Mass Effect, etc etc etc.
It will be fun I'm sure and possibly a feast for the eyes, but original eh not really.

Way ahead technically, as in technology not context (it looks better than any video game out their, obviously), and the colour palette is much more vibrant than most modern games, that's what I meant.

It's weird but in all the pics the female Na'vi have no eyebrows just marks whare they should be but no actual hair, Jake's avatar does but maybe he has them due to the human dna being mixed with Na'vi or maybe the female's shave them off for cultural reasons or maybe I have too much free time on my hands, hmm.
