So there I was, perusing the internet. I visited Spill to see if there was some new ear candy for me to listen to. On this very fateful day, I saw the "Spill Call-in show". I never bother to listen to these, because majority of the time, I don't like listening to children ask Korey the same questions, or some guy finally getting the chance to ask Korey a question and they just kinda' stutter, or "um", as they didn't even have a question to ask to begin with(which begs the question, why even call?). No, today was different. I could feel it.

So I clicked and let it play, while I did some cleaning around my apartment. Apparently I missed the bulk of the questions, so I only heard the last 2 or 3 calls. Not that any of them before that mattered until the final call. You see, kiddos, Korey seems to be a very easy going, laughable guy. Some would go down the path to say he's approachable. Some would even say he's so approachable, he'd let you stay over at his place. A very friendly online personality. However, there has been a storm brewing in Korey's thoughts. A lion has been waiting in the bush, ever so calmly, letting the zebra showboat amongst the herd, until cruel fate should have it's day. For today was the day that Korey finally let his true thoughts out, regarding the site.

The callers question was innocent enough; something along the lines of asking if Korey would rather ask Roosterteeth.com to team-up and help with the sites current loading bar reviews and such. I guess that's all Korey needed to set off that short fuse. Korey went off. Korey let the caller go so he could let loose the dogs of war, as he became louder and angrier with each word. Korey's not happy about the state of the site, and he wants us to know: He's not happy about broken "security" in allowing spam get through. He's not happy about the search option on the site being so incompetent in that it hardly ever brings up prior saved content on the site, despite fairly specific word searches. There was a list of other things, but the one thing Korey blew up about was how his employer isn't handling his requests to fix these small problems with their(Hollywood.com) "business investment". The guy has a sense of pride about his job, obviously, and having tiny problems like the ones the sites have been having not handled properly, when they could easily be corrected within a couple of days is completely chapping his ass. The yelling culminated with a final, " IT AIN'T GOING DOWN LIKE THAT!"( in my mind, I see Korey saying this with a leather jacket and shot gun, cocking it as he blurts that line)

I remember cleaning and heard the fire rising out of Korey's gullet. My head popped up, in sheer surprise over what was going on. I don't know if I've ever heard Korey blow up this way. He was obviously pissed, but I'm guessing for good reason. The way in which he barked over his pain, and roared at the sky, causing the sun to run west in sheer terror was a thing to behold. It was a situation where even Samuel L. Jackson would firmly grab Korey's shoulder and say, " calm down, man, it's not worth it." But nay, Korey wasn't having it. I feel that Korey is at his breaking point, and he's about to burst. One false move will set this man off. I'm certain, the "Spill office" will be talking about this one for days.

This being said, I understand where he's coming from. He's already mentioned some anger management issues on previous podcasts. I can see where at least some of his frustrations lie and how it may be affecting his psyche(as for what else is bothering him, I don't know, nor will I bother pushing to know...it's his business). Anybody reading this should be aware that this is just a light jabbing at Korey's expense regarding the situation. If he ever does read this, I hope he knows that some of us that inhabit the troll garden of the Spill forums actually do appreciate what he and the crew do to keep this little train chugging along. If there are complaints, they usually aren't major. If one asks why bother poking fun at an already volatile situation, I'd say that sometimes the insouciant attitude can help uplift a drab situation. Levity helps. Hearing one of the members go off like that on a site I enjoy so much, is like hearing your mother or father lose their shit at the kitchen table; it's not something you can easily ignore and be silent about.

At any rate, did any one else hear the podcast today? If so, what were/are your thoughts regarding the situation?

Dammit I missed out on it! Instead my 3DS got stolen -_-

He Needs More Money and more Staff for the Site..

I can't believe how the call-in show ended today, and I don't know about you but I won't stand for it. The amount of frustration for Korey is really getting too much for him. I really feel for Korey and I want to help him.

What we should do as an online community is to write complaint letters to this Hollywood.com and let them know that we won't stand for this either. They might not be able to hear the complaint of one person but they can't ignore the cry of million viewers.

While I didn't hear the end, I agree Korey is getting really stressed.

and there came a day unlike any other, when the internet's mightiest community found them selves united against a common threat and on that day they became The Spillios

That seems like it would cause more issues instead of fixing them.

Alright, so "biting the hand that feeds" is not exactly the brightest tactic but what else can we do?
