Actually, the first time you might not get high. It's a weird thing but I think your body wont quite be ready for it, as it was for me, and I had to smoke a couple of times before I REALLY got high.
I was also sort of a stoner ("sort of" in that I didnt smoke every minute of every day, but I did almost every or every other day), and now since the first time I did it in 2001 I now have it just to once every couple of weeks or at most a couple of times a week. Part of this is just cause I dont have the time, part of it is also $ and accessibility. If it were legal and available in stores I might get it more, but having to call up a dude and have a good chunk of change ready, not worth it when in this economic climate. I also dont, alas, have someone like Saul ala Pineapple Express around.

I guess everything's been said before, but I'll put my 2 cents.
The first time I smoked weed, nothing happened. The second time, nothing happened. It wasn't until the 5th time that it really kicked in, and it was a very pleasant, carefree feeling, although my head began to throb in a strange way as it wound down.
But really, don't let anyone say no for you. It's your decision. And be sure to read about what you are going to try. Sure, like everything else, abusing weed is not good. But just because you can drown in the ocean doesn't mean should give up swimming in it altogether, right?
