This guy have three back to back box offices bombs this year John Carter, BattleShip, and now Savages. Do you guys think he's a box office posion or he just have bad luck finding a good script. if you ask me i think he should just get rid of his agent. but tell me what you guys think......

Permalink Reply by The Dubya on July 11, 2012 at 3:56pm They've clearly been trying to set him up as being the next Big Thing after Friday Night Lights ended this past year, buttttt since Disney fails at life, John Carter got way more hate than it shoulda gotten. We all knew Battleship was doomed from conception. Savages I haven't seen yet, but Oliver Stone hasn't exactly been on a winning streak either, so take what you will of that...
To me at least with these summer movies he's been in, there were MANY more problems going on than him. I guess he didn't exactly help matters per say, but it's not HIM that's sucking the life out of these films. I don't see him being central character material in such big productions just yet. On a smaller scale show like FNL (where, you know, he's actually given stuff to do), he's fine. He just needs to pull back and do some smaller drama type roles first before jumping head first into Hollywood's Leading Man Rancor Pit.
Permalink Reply by Steph on July 25, 2012 at 9:02pm I don't think Taylor Kitsch is box office poison. I hardly saw any advertising for John Carter when it was released. Battleship was so doomed from the beginning. Who makes a movie based off of a board game? He didn't do a bad job in Savages, but that movie on its own wasn't the best (at least in my opinion). I don't think he's the one who's doomed all these movies in the least. His agents are steering him in the wrong direction script wise, unless he's the one picking the roles (I hope not!).
