Is anyone else excited for "Man of Steel", and what did you guys think of the new trailer?
I loved the first trailer for Man of Steel, but this new trailer blew me away! I thought it had a very Smallville vibe to it, which is a good thing. I thought Smallville was the definitive origin story for Superman, but I think this one could surpass it.
Does anyone else here like Smallville? Is anyone excited or nervous about this film? What villain do you guys want for the sequel?
I personally would like to see BRAINIAC as the villain for the second, have Lex Luthor mentioned, and have Lex as president for the third (or Justice League, maybe?) let me know :)

I'm excited to see this. I've wanted to like Superman for a long time, and I think this might just do that for me. It looks like it'll be more about an inner struggle than big special effects and fight scenes. With a character as over-powered and (well... I've always seen him as a tiny bit dumb), I think focusing on the ethics of his choices will really make this Superman more relatable and interesting. I've got my fingers crossed for this to be good.
As for a villain, I love Lex because he's so much Superman's opposite. I think they make each other more inserting by comparison.

I only want to see Lex in future films if they do the character justice. I would LOVE to see the President story arc on film at some point. Michael Rosenbaum OWNED the role of Lex in the Smallville TV series, and if they get an actor just as good as him, it would be PHENOMINAL to see that on film.
