Take a look at the trailers with the rest of his movies.
Do any of them astound? See...Quentin has the bad luck...or, I guess lack of talent, with putting in any buzz with his trailers. The movies always exceed the expectations, cause quite frankly, the trailers are half-assed...
Yes, Pulp Fiction has one of the greatest trailers I've ever seen. Kill Bill and Grindhouse both had kickass trailers. I don't really remember the Reservoir Dogs one very well at the moment, but I will concede Jackie Brown's was terrible. Of course, as Leon so often points out, trailers are no indication of a film's quality, but this trailer stands alone in one important respect...
Eli Roth is featured prominently in this one. That alone makes it the worst.
I think its pretty smart what he does with this trailer, 'cause most movie trailers these days try desperatly to make you want to see the movie that they end up giving away too much. with this trailer it just gives you a feel of the movies idea. and let you decide for yourself. And given tarentinos track record shows, any fan is goin to see this regardless, so who cares what the trailer shows....
I don't think this film is Tarantino in "serious" mode, its Tarantino in "silly mode"... but that's going to be a WHOLE
LOTTA FUN.
I mean no-one likes a Nazi but a Dirty Dozen type group sent to war torn Europe to hideously kill Nazis for
German negative propaganda purposes sounds like a kick ass idea.
I know the story partly revolves around a Jewish girl also, I wonder if she gets retribution.
