InFamous Empire City Trailer Release Date May 26th
Ive always been intrigued by this game but this trailers pretty much got me sold. The movement/combat looks incredibly smooth and intuitive, it looks really fun to play and I personally like when electrical weapons are integrated into a game i.e. Lightning gun in Killzone 2. Although I haven't played the game yet, so far it looks better than it's "rival" Prototype at least in the game play department but the story is where the game will most likely trip up. Anyway what are your thought's on the game?
what did you think of the demo, it seemed a whole lot more wholesome to me, they seem to give you alot to do in the demo, and the gameplay was very good.
also looking forward to the uncharted 2 beta.
Their, finally got the game and its hard to put down, arc lightning and megawat hammer are cool, didnt get them in the demo, playin evil this playthrough.
This game is fantastic. The ending makes you feel like shit for playing the game on the Evil Side though. Also i love that your Karma not only changes the story around but also the way Cole uses his powers. Evil Side is more reckless and fire powered, while the Good Side is more strategical, more about defeating enemies in a way that doesn't harm everyone else.
Im playing through it as evil the now and its a shit load of fun, ill be shooting electricity at enemies - run out of juice - bring up my shield - run up to them and backflip kick them FUCKIN AWESOME :P, not completed it yet but im already looking forward to playing through it again as a good guy.
beat it last week. Game is was alright and was a step in the right direction on many things, but quite often i found myself bored and willing to just turn the game off.
1. Repetitive. I kept thinking "holy shit, this is like Assassin's creed with the quests..." and it was. Thankfully there was atleast some variety, but by the end of the second city.. you just want to end it.
2. Trish. Fuck her.
3. Lack of "Sandbox" gameplay. Outside the main story, and finding shards.. there is nothing to do in the world. a lot of "Sandbox" games tend to do this lately.
4. No interesting characters. i played evil first, and imo, outside Kessler (which is ironic in itself, but mostly because of the backstory there is) there really isn't any standout characters in the game. Zeke is just there, trish hounds the shit out of you, moya... well, not enough conversations between the main character to do anything, and the old guy (can't remember atm) is pretty useless. Telekinesis and he makes a garbage golem? seriously?
I still liked the game, but it's just "meh". I hope prototype doesnt end up like this.
