i wanna start this off by sayin Mason, you seem like a cool guy. You did the Movie Tournament a while back which i was really impressed by, we both are big fans of About Schmidt, ur favorites list is almost paralleled to my own. hell, the fact that ur profile pic is from Full Metal Alchemist makes you awesome in my book.
however, anytime someone mentions the Star Wars prequels in a negative manner in a thread, u appear to get really defensive about it, almost hostile sometimes. and while i understand that u have strong admiration for those films, i never really heard ur reason behind liking them so much other than "theyre good films." which is why im makin a challenge for you.
Mason, i want you to give me your explaination for liking the prequels. i dont want a simple explaination of "theyre good films". i want you to seriously put some critical perspective into this. i wanna hear ur best, most detailed defense for the prequel films and of George Lucas for that matter, and i promise i will be as objective as possible. if i find something i agree with, ill be honest and be front with you about it. and the same goes for something i disagree with. i wont make fun of JarJar Binks or Jake Lloyd unless i legitimately have problems with them. this thread isnt made to bash your opinions, its merely a friendly debate from one film buff to another. theres no hard feelings, its just a study in film taste.
