If it's crap... We'll tell you

Hey spillers! It's been a little while since I've done, well anything on Spill. Up until recently I didn't know a whole lot about X-Men, and really never got into it. Usually I just read a Wikipedia article and judge by that. But after I saw the Spider-Man TAS Episode featuring the X-Men and that bad ass theme song, I finally got around to seeing it and DAMN I was seriously missing out. I've only seen the first season as of this writing, season 2 was taken of Youtube or something.

So now I'm a big freaking X-Nerd (get it?) and can't get enough X-Men in me a day. It's awesome now I can actually call myself a Marvel fan now that I know most popular superheros they've done.

ACTUAL QUESTION
So I've been wondering about seeing the X-Men films, but they don't seem all that great to me. It seems that it really centers on Wolverine (not my favorite X-Man), and everybody else takes a backseat. Just lemee know what YOU thought of the X-Men movies or just the first one. Thanks.

Ya, they all centre around Wolverine (not my favorite X-Man either) but there is some good moments. My advice would be to watch 1 and 2. number 3 im unsure about.... it wraps up the story but its shit.

I second that. One is good, two is better, three is not so good.

Well, when I first saw them I thought they were great. But now, I can't really sit through the whole thing (with the exception of the 2nd one)

The first one was a good trilogy starter but I feel like it wasn't anything special after seeing it the 2nd time.

The second film was by far my favorite out of all of them. Not only did it have my favorite X-Men, Nightcrawler, but I feel it had the best story and action scenes. I just love it.

The third one I feel was a bit of a disappointment to most of the X-Men fans. Sure it showed phoenix kick some booty... but it seemed rushed and wasn't directed by the same director as the last two.

Funny, Nightcrawler is one of my favs too. I think he was the first one I knew anything about. I did hear about X2 being the best.

X2 is indeed the best. It contains just enough of all the superheros and villians, and Wolverine (although the main character) seems to play backstage to Rogue, Iceman and Pyro through most of his scenes. Although he does get a few places where he shines.

A backseat to Iceman AND Rouge? That's pretty cool cause Iceman is another one of my favs. Seems interesting to me.

SOME SPOILERS

The only two places Wolverine shines is the fight in the x-mansion and the fight with Lady Deathstrike. The rest of the movie the story pretty much follows Iceman and his orgin and how he and Rogue are going through a troubled time in their relationship (because they can't touch each other) and those are the pretty much the basic scenes that he appears in.

Other then that the rest of the story follows Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Proffeser X, Magneto, Mystique and the villian Willian Stryker . So yah Wolverine plays backseat to most of these charcters. BUT he is STILL A MAIN CHARACTER, and him and William Stryker share a few good moments...

seriously check it out (But I suggest watching X-men 1 before this to understand a few things better)

Wolverine is considered Marvels poster boy. People just seem to like him.. the only problem I have with him is the fact that when you take him out of the X-men he just doesn't seem as badass as he is when hes with the X-men. Deadpool however is badass no matter who you put him with...just look at the Cable and Deadpool series, Cable(not the best superhero) but Deadpool still remains badass throughout that entire series.

Deadpool is awesome. The Cable and Deadpool series was great, but I could have used less Cable and more Deadpool. Haven't checked out any of the new Deadpool series yet. Can't wait to see what Ryan Reynolds does with him in the Wolverine movie next summer.

The new series is awsome, so far its pretty much Deadpool kicking Skrull ass, and outsmarting the Skrull Scientist...also apparently Daniel Way has stated that Deadpool is going to fight zombies next then he's going to fight the Green Goblin.

Am I the only person on Spill who Isn't a Deadpool fan? Time for wikipedia reading!
