This week DC comic will put out in stores WEDNESDAY COMICS, WEDNESDAY COMICS is unique in modern comics history: Reinventing the classic weekly newspaper comics section, it is a 16-page weekly that unfolds to a sprawling 28" x 20" tabloid-sized reading experience bursting with mind-blowing color, action and excitement, with each feature on its own 14" x 20" page.
WEDNESDAY COMICS is a 12 issues weekly series by many of Dc's talent. The format is that of the Sunday funnies, but, #.99? FOR REAL?
Ugh, yeah I know dude. Prices are going up on almost every comic. Luckily it's mostly on Marvel right now but a few 3.99 issues are coming out on DC now too. Won't be long until it's the regular price.
A normal comic is 10 x 6.5 with 22 story pages and a cover.
That's 65 square inches times 23 pages and you end up with 1495 inches squared.
Wednesday comics is 16 pages at 14 x 20.
That's 280 square inches times 16 which gives you 4480 inches squared.
Now if we go a step further and divide by the price to see how much content a dollar buys you'll find that a standard comic at 3 dollars gives you 498.33 inches squared per dollar while Wednesday comics has 1120 inches squared per dollar.
If the stories are good I'll stick with it. Remember this is from the guy who organized Batman: Black and White.
