Pearl Kupe a South African Pastor & an attorney-at-law sad the following. "But I want to make it clear that God is not a God of equality but a God of justice and as Christians here in Jamaica, you have to make it known that Jamaica belongs to Jesus." Kupe said a L.G.B.T. (Lesbians, Gays, Bi-Sexuals and Transgender) charter, which is being considered in South Africa, is seeking to promote the universal acceptance of the gay lifestyle. She also claimed it is seeking to discredit anything or organizations that condemn homosexuality. She added: "They are willing to trade ethics, morality and values in exchange for global power and we cannot allow these things to infiltrate your country."Ah Yeah. This kind of "gay hate" I fear will come to my country soon. Trying not to be an asshole with what I believe but FUCK.

Well, there are a few things to take into consideration with this post.

1) The first thing that pops into my head is that Pearl is right about "God is not a God of equality". The bible (God's words) really do define what is and isn't accepted by God. So, yeah okay..... I can see that God being something that basically says you are "this or that" in regards to being considered a "Christian"......

2) However, the biggest issues to keep in mind is the whole concept of "universal acceptance of ANY lifestyle" is a mistake. Sorry, I understand wanting people TO accept your lifestyle but the simple truth is that you'll never get "universal" acceptance. Someone, somewhere, somehow.... well, they will not like your lifestyle regardless of what it is. Gay, polygamist, Christian, Jewish, Mormon, Muslim, race, gender....... well, regardless of how hard you try, someone will end up hating you just "because".

3) However, I do find it funny that people in today's society of "international trade" and "World Wide Web" still rely on their religion to discredit people or organizations. As often as "religious-based views" change over the years, and as easily as it is to find information on "religious-based organizations/programs" that are abused and misused... Well, trying to make any kind of political/moral/ethical stand based ONLY on your religion is bound to backfire and paint you in the picture of just yet another small-minded individual that preaches more hatred and intolerance than love. It's the people who use this type of religious stance for anything (Gay Lifestyle, different religious-views, relationships, human reproduction)...... Well, basically whenever I hear someone "Preaching" about how something/someone is "wrong", I kind of just zone them out and live my life the best that I can.

I would love to zone them out & of course not ever body is going to like or accept your point of view but dam in 2012, I would have believed things would be different. Its like people aren't trying to change things for the better. All they see is some imaginary bad.

That's because it's always easier to sell people something when you use fear or hatred. Ever notice how "quick to panic" people are whenever there is a news story about some new "flu strain"? It's so much easier to make them freak out when you start to talk about Bird-Flu, Pig-Flu, "Highly resistant-flu"?

Yep, instead of telling people that if you are taking care of yourself and you are careful to be clean, or you take steps to lower your exposure chances are you'll never have to worry. But nope, it's always driving home the "fear" of how bad the flu is.... how "hateful" the (political side) are for not working together..... how "disruptive" the newest trend/music/dance/game is, even though the people complaining about it don't wear/listen/watch/play it....... It's all a marketing tool. Hate/Fear will always outsell Hope/Friendly.

I agree completely, but would add that what they are really selling when they push fear, is a solution, or security from whatever problem they invent.

Yes..... and that "solution or security" is almost always do what we tell you to do, only obey us, don't think for yourself, live your life by OUR standards/dictate.

Yes, they push the fear to whatever problem they've invented.... but it's only pushing the fear to prevent YOU from having the ability to have your own personal freedoms to do what you want or live the way you want to live.

Amen brother.

Finally another critical thinker, around here.

Lol.

Headline should read: Woman with no real power has opinion: Public concerned.

Yeah, Jamaica saddens me.  I always got the impression that it would be a nice place to vacation and I am sure they want you to think so, but I decided a while ago to never go there.  For one, the impoverishment depresses me, but the other detail is that it is one of the most homophobic countries I ever studied up on.  I don't understand what culturally influences this brand of hatred.  Fundamentalist Christianity is a factor, but some Rastafarians are a part of this too, so I am inclined to think there is something else going on that influences this.  All we can really hope is that it will get better.

Also, the whole "gay agenda" conspiracy I keep hearing about is the most ludicrous and offensive thing I ever heard.  The LGBT community does not have this kind of power.  It is a stupid paranoia cooked up by horrible people so that they can feel victimized when they are the oppressors.

A Rastafarian is essentially a fundamental Jew, so they cling to a lot of the old testament.

Also for some reason the African American community in general has never been very accepting of gays.

There absolutely is a secular agenda, and the gay movement is apart of it. Not every gay person, but the movement as a whole.

And what is the goal of said agenda? Just curious.

Destroy the traditional family unit, traditional family values, and deny the existence of the divine. If you destroy families then people will look to their government for support rather than their family.

They want people to think that government, and man made law is the ultimate authority. Atheism, and totalitarian governments go hand in hand.

What does Christianity mean today? National Socialism is a religion. All we lack is a religious genius capable of uprooting outmoded religious practices, and putting new ones in there place. We lack traditions, and ritual. One day soon  National Socialism will be the religion of all Germans. My party is my Church....Dr. Goebbles
