King of the Koopas posted a statusOver the weekend I bought Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Dead Space, and Dead Space 2 for about $25 through the weekend discount. Yet another reason why I use Steam so fuck you Origin.

Permalink Reply by Cthulhu R'lyeh on November 2, 2011 at 4:30pm Why not? Payment is a bitch, especially where I live. My debit card has never been accepted. Is my money somehow worth less? If so, I really need to tell that to every shop I go to. Don't want to bamboozle them.
Not to mention that I prefer to physically own things. Having the White Album on an Itunes account is not my idea of proper ownership. Not that I would ever buy anything from Itunes Store.
Permalink Reply by Jason Straub on November 2, 2011 at 5:00pm I suppose I can see where you're coming from, but I've run into a lot more problems, especially with PC games, having the physical copy instead of buying the digital version. For example, I've lost the sheet that comes with the CD key for a few PC games during moves, and now they're essentially useless discs. With Steam I buy a game and it's added to my library so I can uninstall and reinstall at will through their server. No need to worry about losing anything, or the disc being damaged and so on. Most of these companies keep good records of what you've bought, so there's no need to worry about buying something and then it being somehow invalidated later on.
As far as your payment concerns go, I don't know where you live, but support is usually pretty helpful in these cases.
