gambolingman posted a statusI'm not really anticipating the new Tekken X Street Fighter. My fear is that it will have a half ass fighting game that will fail to bring together the best aspects both of these legendary fighting game series. What are your thoughts.

I guess they'll see how successful Street Fighter X Tekken will perform come early 2012.
Permalink Reply by Jason Straub on December 13, 2011 at 12:08pm I've said before that the styles of these two games just don't fit together. One is a fast paced, 2D, larger than life fighter with energy blasts, fireballs, and all sorts of other ranged attacks. They can also jump. The other is a slower, 3D grappling based fighter. They won't mix well together without changing one of the franchises to fit the other. I'm not optimistic.
Permalink Reply by DJ Milez on December 15, 2011 at 11:43pm LOL....that's why they're making two different versions to fit the developers style, Capcom's SxT will play like similar to Street Fighter and Namco's TxS will play more like Tekken.
Permalink Reply by George Knight on December 13, 2011 at 2:33pm I swore off Street Fighter X Tekken when they announced mandatory DLC. Fuck that shit, any excitement I once had was instantly gone.
Hopefully they don't pull that shit with Tekken X Street Fighter as well.

Fuck that.
Permalink Reply by kyoshira71 on December 29, 2011 at 12:58am I am optimistic about Street Fighter X Tekken. I am interested in how they will incorporate both fighting styles in the game, although I am not crazy about the Gem System.
Permalink Reply by That 1 Dude on December 29, 2011 at 1:58am Being that I'm mostly a Tekken fan I might have some biases towards the Streetfighter series but
First of all SFxTK needs @ least 5 more characters from both sides (namco/capcom) to round off the roaster to 30 characters imo. I was hoping to have a Law/Ryu & Raven/Fei Long team....I'm guessing if those characters will be in the game, they will come in DLC packs later on down the year :( I mean for $60+ I should be able to play as my favorite character right, who decided which characters needed to be in this game?
And I agree with everyone else, i am optimistic to see how SFxTK performs whenever it comes out, but I just don't think Capcom/Streetfighter was Namco's best choice to merge game play with. If Namco was to collaborate with another developer why not Sega/Virtua Fighter???
