I like some of his songs but he, himself, is such a douche! He always feels that the frakking world revolves around him, it drives me insane. South Park really nailed him on "Fishsticks," right down to this awesome song:

rapping isn't as easy is it looks. and he's good at it. but he always displays that cocky attitude in his somewhat okay songs that make me really dislike him .

His rapping is horrible and you know it. His beats are amazing he was and should return to being a producer. Can you think of one memorable Kayne West line or verse?

He isn't a good rapper, he's just average. And it's not that hard to be just an average rapper, and i agree with Freehaven that beats in his songs are very good but his rapping is not so good.

As a former hip hop head, here's my take:

This is a guy who got his start as a guy who was doing beats for Jay-Z, wasn't too bad at that. Then he gets the idea in his head that he can rap, too. He doesn't have anything close to lyrical prowess. Not when you compare him to guys like Andre 3000, Nas, or GZA. And to top it off, the guy has a God complex. Look, I know part of hip hop is that you have to have braggadocio, but this guy takes it way too far. He says if his album doesn't win Album of the Year, there will be a problem? He compares himself to Jesus? Hell, not even P Diddy is that much of pompous ass when you compare him to Kanye! And look at the guy's fashion sense, gawdy! When has the preppy look been considered gangsta?

In short, I think he's an arrogant, with delusions of grandeur.

i've never seen the video of that jesus walks song but he is such a fucking cock. he seems to think he's some kind of prophet or something. Grandious delusions his role in the world, he's gonne end up killing a hooker.
