I recently posted a blog entitled "3D SUCKS!". So far, nobody commented on it, and I feel a little lonely. Even if you like 3D, I'd like to hear you opinion. To me, 3D is a flimsy, boring, asinine, pointless money-making gimmick that should be laid to rest once and for all. You can read my blog about it on my page. What do you think?

The only example where 3D lifted a movie for me was Avatar, in the other cases (e.g. Alice in Wonderland) it was exactly as you say.
I thought that Avatar in 3d kinda sucked.
waaaaaaaaaaaaay over used but still can be enjoyable
I wouldn't be at all sorry if they stopped using 3D in films.
I don't get the whole "It's the future of viewing movies". I rather enjoy watching my 2D characters and letting my mind and imagination take me into it rather than have them do the work for me with magic Buddy Holly glasses.
I completely agree. It's pointless, money-hungry, brain-rotting crap like 3D that's destroying cinema. I'm really pissed with Hollywood.
Yes, a tool is destroying cinema.
Yeah, I was a bit naive when I said that.

OK then.

I only have problem with bad 3D, just like I have a problem with bad cinematography, acting,...

As much as I wasn't a fan of Thor's 3D, the 3D shots of Asgard at the beginning were amazing and totally immersed me.

3D has rarely ever immersed me.
I don't mind. It dosen't add or take away from a film for the most part. It always seems like something of theme park rides. It used to be that the 3rd movie in a successful franchise would be in 3-d (Examples: Spy Kids 3-D, Jaws 3-D, and Friday the 13th 3-D)
if used well 3D ca be really cool. But my experiences so far always gave me headaches. The last one i saw Was Shrek 4, it had really good 3D, but did give me a small headache around the end.
Though i can't wait to see Resident Evil Afterlife in 3D since it was filmed with the same technology used for Avatar.
