pearl jam were not one of the best so-called grunge acts but at least we had alice in chains, mudhoney, mother love bone (then the tribute album temple of the dog, on which eddie vedder does part vocals) soundgarden, tad, babes in toyland, L7 and hole to name but a few so on the brightside there's plenty to chose from so as not to infect your ears with PJ

ha ha i like your style but seriously is twat the best insult you got? if it's any of your business i own records by all the bands listed in fact temple of the dog is still one of my favourite albums and alice in chains, babes in toyland and soundgarden i've seen live, fuck wikipedia and fuck you you arrogant person of questionable parentage

I quite love Pearl Jam, but I understand that it's not for everyone. They are overrated for what they are.

Hm. See I disagree witcha. ( X gets the square!!) I think they're properly given credit as prolly the 2nd best grunge band ever after you-know-who. So "for what they are" I don't think it's possible, really, to over-rate 'em. Now when you start saying they're one of the greatest "rock" bands of all time....well, then you've gotta say "Whoa, nelly"

The Jeremy Video was epic when the bullied kid blows his brains out that made an impact on my third grade ass...Pearl Jam gets a lot of heat because they have a very dramatic delivery... They try and make every song seem epic, and sad but that is just their style... Eddie Vedder is a very talented lyricist, and vocalist...and on top of that their guitarist is pretty sweet.

I do think its kinda funny that you would take the time to bash a band who hasn't been popular for a decade, but to each his own...

You didn't even like their cover of Last Kiss?
