well i stopped 3 years ago but its OK to do it i dont see anything wrong in a adult likeing to celebrate a holiday

I stopped at 17. That last year, people were giving me and my friends a lot of strange looks. After that, we just started drinking our faces off instead.

I'd say High school is a good cutoff. Maybe in Junior high. Just do whatever your friends are doing.

I was 13 during my final bite-sized, tooth-decay enabling agent quest. I remember it like it was only yesterday. It was a rather muggy, uncomfortable evening that particular October 31st. I was decked out in my finest funeral attire, added a classic jet-black Stetson & my attache' case, (And, in case you're wondering. Yes, I got more than my fair share of laughter & shit when I went to school with that instead of a book-bag.) and, Voila'!
I was magically transformed into the one & only Elwood 'Dan Aykroyd' Blues. My all-time favorite motion picture, at the time. Fantastic times, those were. All gone now.
