Too many to recall, I'm sure I've seen more than 1/2 of them, I'll probably go so far as to say I'm pushing at least 175-180. Just so long since I've seen some of those movies, I've sort of forgot how I felt about them, just remember seeing them.
I don't know how I feel about The Shawshank Redemption being the top movie though. I mean, it was a great film, but above The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, Seven Samurai, and Sunset Boulevard? I don't really dig that.

Got to keep in mind that you have to look at the numbers of times it was 'voted' on. Plus you gotta look at the 'average' vote too. I'm sure that people are amazed that within a year, The Dark Knight has almost as many votes as Godfather does, yet, it slipped down to under 9.0 rating now...so that means it's gotten a LOT of 'hate' votes.
I like IMDb because they get their ratings like this:
The formula for calculating the Top Rated 250 Titles gives a true Bayesian estimate:
weighted rating (WR) = (v ÷ (v+m)) × R + (m ÷ (v+m)) × C
where:
R = average for the movie (mean) = (Rating)
v = number of votes for the movie = (votes)
m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 250 (currently 1300)
C = the mean vote across the whole report (currently 6.7)
for the Top 250, only votes from regular voters are considered.
